This arrangement of Danse Macabre is intended for two students on different skill levels. Danse Macabre was originally created for a Halloween combined group class. It has been designed to be taught in one 45-minute group class. The word are my creation. The words in the opening section are designed to assist in learning the rhythms. This arrangement is for violin duet. The first violin part is intended for a student who has at least completed Suzuki Violin School Book 1. The first violin part includes an optional “sul g” fingering, extending to fifth position for the more advanced student. The second violin part can be played by student who have just learned “low second finger.” Both utilize scordatura, with the “e” string tuned down to “e-flat.” Full score and one copy of each violin part is included.
